For the next three Weeks Sunday Sonnet will be AWOL with its Guardian. They will be abroad with the latter’s daughter and her family who have just moved from Germany to Austria…new Senior Post at a Hospital.
Hope to be back middle of August. Not sure of WiFi contact, so probably not to be seen around these parts…..

That time of year again….
I shall be away….for the next few weeks. Off to Germany – Tuesday – to spend Christmas and New Year with daughter and the family. I’m unlikely to be around here…on the blog much. I might…just might pop in from time to time to keep in touch.
May you all have a Blessed Festive Season! Whatever you do..or do not do….Have Peace and Goodwill in your hearts! Be Generous…and Be Blest!
See you in the New Year which, I pray, will bring you much joy!

‘A little while and pain shall be no more,’
The still, small voice within me reassured;
Affliction wracked my being to the core,
Though signing not, ‘How much to be endured’;
Attended lovingly by caring hands,
The touch of which imbues internal toil
With hope, perdurable, that ne’er disbands,
So deeply rooted in the soul’s subsoil;
His quivering voice, adorned by faintest smile,
Bestirred the innards of a grateful heart;
Can mortal man survive such searing trial,
Enough to rent most powerful apart?
Belief translates impossible to be
A miracle for family to see!

Anticipation warmed within our hearts
As we imagined seeing kith and kin,
Aware that untowards can play their parts,
Attend, all joy with hope to underpin;
Add to all plans the spice of simple trust,
A leaven that eternally endures;
Assistance, all Divine, regards the just
And wholesome blessed endings e’er ensures;
Without ill intervention jaunt ensued,
Enriched by fulsome pleasure all the way;
To everyone, encountered, joy accrued,
Creating lasting memories each day.
Laudate Deum for felicity,
That freely flowed, through gen’rous hearts, to me.

Surprised by Pleasure, theretofore not sensed,
A gen’rous gift from daughter and her spouse
Cannot by Muse, Poetic, be condensed
Appreciation, profound, to arouse;
The dulcet tones of ombra mai fu
Conveyed us into ambience of peace,
Attentive Care thenceforth would see us through,
Like infants mollycoddled in lamb’s fleece;
From board to bed, our bodies, minds and souls
Imbibed the elixir of healing rare;
Eternally contented heart extols
Experience in life, beyond compare;
Forever shall these mem’ries, like fine gold,
Occasion gems of Gratitude untold!
