Like pristine starch-white table cloth,
A frost bedecks the lawn,
A smitten robin finds no broth,
Its fast to break at dawn,
As pangs of hunger spawn,
In famished waifs forlorn!

Yummy…….
Alas,
Raising his glass,
To toast a generous host,
Then tuck into the Sunday roast,
First class!

Just Resting….
The promenade with jaded amblers teem,
Their self-indulgent excess to redeem,
Surfeit of ‘Eat and Drink’,
Brings Good Health to the brink,
A balanced Way of Life shall be the dream.

Discarded!
Foxes forage food,
Humans stole their habitat,
Re-use want-not waste!

In humble gratitude replete,
The beggar bowed his head,
The little girl stretched on her feet
And hugged the man instead –
Her mum a teardrop shed!
