When rain pours
On the Moors,
Walking tours,
Danger lures,
Courage cures!
Winter wind,
Wrecks the skinned,
Tortured sinned,
Bold ones grinned,
All well ginned!

Ginned … a lovely addition to your poem… I once drove the Woodhead pass from Manchester to Sheffield in a snowstorm , many years ago, not knowing that the pass was closed (in the years before roaming wifi, well, well before, only car radio and no signal once I started up the pass)… I was well ginned when I finally battled my way into Penistone…

Ahhhh…..I know it well! Lived for years on the Yorkshire side of the pass – not far from Leeds. Would never dare the Pass if it had snowed… 😉 Delightful to cross in Sunny Summer weather….. Don’t tell me you lived in Yorkshire at one time…. May even be a Yorkshire Lass! 😉 Hugs! ❤
