Sunday Sonnet!

As yonder years expectant maid with child,
Accompanied by older pledged betrothed,
Advanced on weary course with manner mild,
Today, believers, in their faith beclothed,
In advent seek their persons to prepare,
To celebrate the nascence of their lord;
A time for still reflection and of prayer,
That blessings on all beings might be poured;
Be mindful of the chasmic, sad divides
In station, stature, heritage and wealth,
The need for saintly love in all resides,
The gift of the Divine is wholesome health;
May advent hope pervade each living soul,
That brokenness in all may be made whole.

Off To The Brethren!

πŸ€—

Many of you will be familiar with my annual visit to the Brethren in the Monastery. I have been associated with them for many years now…….πŸ€“ I have always tried to make at least one visit a year to the Community. Over the past several years I have gone to share in their lifestyle….entering into the rhythm that prevails in the Community.

Will be joining them on Saturday, next,Β  for the whole of the following week. I’m unlikely to be spending much time here on the blog.

Will be holding you all….family, friends et al in my prayerful thoughts.

Take Care!

Be Blest!

Be Still,
Reflection never wearies anyone,
Fulfil,
Each minute of your gifted day begun.
