Be still!
Discernment calls,
Distraction thrives on noise,
Self-control induces insight,
Rewarding all who wait, biding their time;
Poorer those weighed down by care,
By busyness impaired,
Goodness resounds
Be still!

Then whispered gentle Hope to trembling Doubt,
This may not be the whole of what you see,
No need for negativity to sprout,
Await with patience true reality;
Reflect afresh on what you do perceive,
Embracing what the senses all imbibe,
Too easy casual glimpses misconceive
Leading to needless harmful diatribe;
Attend to what is being said and shown
And not to what or how you might respond;
‘Tis better that all nuances be known
Than keen anticipation’s hat is donned;
Discernment beds in single-minded care,
Good Counsel be her philanthropic heir!

Lurking……
Satanic forces breathe the selfsame air
As do the Seraphim of Goodness fair,
Adorned in raiment white,
They proffer naught but blight,
Discernment cultivate with utmost care!

While villains wreak foul havoc on the weak,
Infusing all the world with vengeful pique,
Let Reason not take flight,
All Goodness thus to blight,
Discernment must inform all our critique.
