Not for the lack of Hope
Nor for the want of self-belief,
How can the fallen cope
Without aught generous relief,
Lest they defer to grief.

very true, E! My roses are returning, having cast off the beetles. A so-called cold front coming in, hopefully bringing with it more vim and vigor for me. π

These knock-out roses are tough and pretty. I lost my yellow roses and a gorgeous ornamental cherry tree three or four years ago when it was so cold for so long. My gravatar is of one of my yellow roses.
