ah what would I give for a peaceful night’s rest undisturbed by the day’s stresses and not shortened by overwork…such sweet rest as you describe would be a gift.
I just retuned home at 11pm from a 14 hr walk with a 15 kilo rucksack over the Southern Uplands and Borders drove roads yesterday .. your image made me smile this morning… except my picture was of being stuck in bog and lost in the heather hills. All I could think of for the last 3 hrs of pain as I came down from the hills was my bed and sleep….
I knew i had stamina but i never realised I was that fit – that was my 2nd day out wild camping. It really makes you appreciate small home comforts that we take for granted.
The comforting bed always beckons, but rarely does the peaceful night descend … for you see, the on/off switch for the mind has broken and is stuck in the “on” position! Sigh. π Hugs, my friend!
Welcome to my Sanctuary!
Most of what you encounter here will have had its provenance in the Ambling Thoughts of the Autumn of my Life.
Long may this Season last.
Thanks for visiting...Hopefully, you will stay a while and come again!
Be Blest!
Goodnight from me in an hour or so.

how? There is so much life to live and so much to be done! Deadlines wait for no woman or man. And paychecks do depend on meeting those deadlines.
