Then whispered gentle Hope to trembling Doubt,
This may not be the whole of what you see,
No need for negativity to sprout,
Await with patience true reality;
Reflect afresh on what you do perceive,
Embracing what the senses all imbibe,
Too easy casual glimpses misconceive
Leading to needless harmful diatribe;
Attend to what is being said and shown
And not to what or how you might respond;
‘Tis better that all nuances be known
Than keen anticipation’s hat is donned;
Discernment beds in single-minded care,
Good Counsel be her philanthropic heir!

“…gentle Hope to the trembling Doubt…” – Wow Bushka…It’s amazing how you’ve given character to both these qualities and a character so perfect that each one of us has to agree with it. It’s the first post I’m reading this beautiful morning and I’m so glad it is this way! 🙂 Cheers!

oh my that rhyming couplet at the end is quite the finish for your exquisite poem. I love “philanthropic heir.” What an idea!
