In Praise Of……

When Winter winds drive freezing rain
And all around seems bleak,
When hope of sunshine proves in vain
And help a forlorn squeak –
Let Faith then surely speak!

When darker days of suffering loom
And Pain is at her peak,
When desperation foretells gloom
And threaten havoc wreak –
Let Faith then surely speak!

When Light begins to fade away
And Life morphs to a leak,
When Thoughts advent to go astray
And Soul a haven seek –
May Faith then always speak!

  3. Impressed with the rhyming! And how true that is – when everything round us is dark, faith in God’s presence carries us through.

  5. Great words Elliot. To many it explains the lack of hope in our politicians – the future looks bleak. Great image.

  7. As usual you gave me something to think about. Hebrews Chapter 11 is often referred to as the “faith chapter” and the title is very appropriate. A large number of the verses (15) start with “By faith” and faith is the key ingredient in our search for salvation.

  9. Oh certainly “Let Faith then surely speak!” No matter what comes, rain or ice, life or death my faith will indeed prevail. I’m in love with the simplicity of these lines, and the heavenly vibes! Thank you Bushka for these words, brilliance. β™₯
