Pristine Innocence!!
In dulcet harmony the cattle moaned,
Magnificat the Blessed Maid intoned,
Anon, in Manger, staid,
Her infant son she laid,
In designated Dignity enthroned!
With cattle at his side, the old man knelt,
Then he, the gentle touch of maiden felt,
He raised his cowled head,
Her smile his spirit fed,
The God Incarnate in this stable dwelt!
