It’s a long time since I saw a Magnolia tree, let alone the emerging buds. Magnolias are a fabulous bloom.

A relative of mine had a lovely tree by her house in London, which was planted by her when she and her husband moved into the house. Every year it produced the most glorious blooms. Alas, the relatives are no longer with us, neither is the tree.
