Unguarded moments in despair
Expose the hungry waif;
The ruthless wolf to her repair,
Her innocence unsafe –
A thought the world to chafe!
We have to take care to avoid those wolves.

Great post and image Elliot.
Thanks Peter. 🙂
Very appropriate to the immigration challenge.
Indeed, Gilly! Inspired by this Human Tragedy. 😦
Being vulneralbe is accepting life as it is.
Would you say that to the refugees? Especially the young children? 😦
Very bad. I think the government should do more. I wrote about this topic in my article: https://mypersonalengland.wordpress.com/2015/09/14/how-much-should-we-do/
This poem is really quite remarkable, conveys much meaning. I love it.
Pleased you like it. I wanted to capture the essence of vulnerability. 😉
well you did. reminds me for some reason of the photo of the row of Mexican troops with the tiny Maya woman and her rose
Ah!!! Yes! 🙂
did you see my re-blog of your post? I’m not sure on how to do the re-postings, I wanted The Bride to follow your poem, but it didn’t work.
Yes, saw it! Thought I commented?
Not sure how to get someone else to follow…. 😉
I meant to say I had planned to post my poem after yours
